the past few weeks have been weird for me... its geting to the point were im not all that well interested in my corns :( but in one hand i want a variaty in my colection, but on the other i want to invest in some nice bps... i dont know what to do cause i can only have 3 perm snakes.... life sux living at home but i cant move out and i know it would be harder if i did at my age ha... on the other other hand i just want to help people get over their fear of snakes then again i want more of the snake im most interested in, ball pythons but people that dont like snakes in the first place dont want to touch a ball python... why? idk there as cool as well cool can get! most people are not as scared of corn snakes cause there small and stuff so there more willing to touch one... erg... and my dad is being dificult cause he does not think i would be able to handle having 4 perm snakes going to high school cause i have been home schooled all my life practicly and i could take care of them... i told him that snakes arnt the hardest critters to care for cause they rlly arnt... and another factor in the only 3 snakes is feeding them... he said it would be more expensive feeding 4 snakes than 3.. het rodentpro shipping prices are by the box (right?) and thats what i told him but noo even tho i told him no more w/c temps during the school year he still said no... (kinda a easy thing for me cause wild snakes arnt out during winter any way) erg... i think i can handle it but he doesnt..

sorry for venting on yall but its easy to type out a long thing like this when your upset... erg!

Just show your dad over the next few months you can really take care of your snakes. Maybe get a job (if you already dont) and save up for all the things you would need if you got another Ball. If your interested in keeping more bp, tell him about a rack system and how effective it is and how neat a set up like that would be. Show him you have what it takes to care for your snakes!!! thats how I was able to get my mom to allow me to have a cat when I was in high school.

The older you get the more your able to really be resposible for your pets and from what it looks like your on your way!

    good luck!

yah, well we are ordering rats from rodent pro soon cause they are the cheepest and each of my corns will have a years food (50 rats each) and akua will have 6 months (25) so what i was thinking is for 6 months of food for each corn (25 each) will leave me with 50 more and i already have a 20gal that i just need a cover for... but i am going to save up all the money i need and that i get (no more junk) just money for snake! hehe maby soon maby soon

Hm.. well, if it helps any, think of it this way: if you're already feeding a few snakes, one more isn't going to make that much of a difference. Esp. if yu're buying frozen rodents; what's one more mouth? :)

Just make sure you are really in it for the long haul; snakes live a long time, and you really have to make sure it's not just a phase you're going through (not saying I think it is, just make sure!)

Also think about what you will do if you go off to college. Who will be caring for them while you're at school? Will your parents be willing to care for them for you?

This is not meant to dissaude (sp?) you, but more to help you think through all the scenarios that may come up in the near future! Lawd knows I love me some ball pythons! LOL
