    humidity is boggleing my mind
    i have 2 enclosures in my closet. humidity is 64 in there with a humidifier . one enclosure reads 56% and the other reads 42%. WTF tanks are both screen tops. temps in both are fine. so once again WTF??????? i am working on it as i type.

    Are both the tanks exactly the same? Are both the humidity gauges exactly the same?

    both gauges are the same. one tank is a 20 gallon fish tank with screen top and one is a 30 gallon breeder.

    What type of humidity gauges are you using? The dial guages are pretty much useless.

    The two enclosures are different sizes so there are going to be differences.

    What type of substrate are you using? What type of heating elements are you using on each enclosure?

    aspen bedding. i have a space heater to keep the air temp between 82-84. also have a UTH for the basking spot.
