to go out or not to go out?

so can I take Nag outside in the grass or is this a bad idea?

We've taken a few of our snakes outside on the grass for a few moments Wendy but just a few things to consider. Is the grass natural and untreated by any pesticides? Is it private enough that your neighbours will not lose their minds and panic at the sight of a snake outside? Can you easily control not only Nag but any exposure to other roaming pets that might approach him? Are your local temps close to his normal environment so he won't get a chill or overheated?

Just remember that even a slow moving BP can suddenly put on a burst of speed. I've seen Kyna and Saoirse for instance just suddenly fire up and take off faster than I would have thought any BP could move (thank goodness both times inside under controlled circumstances). We only take ours outside occasionally and then only when both Mike and I are there to watch and control that one snake.

no treatment on the lawn, no panicky neighbors, no roaming animals, temps are fine (81 today), and my 2 girls will be out there with me so he cant get away. sound ok?

Sounds good, but make sure eyes on him at ALL TIMES>

well he seemed to enjoy it....all except the green parts lol

every time he hit the grass it was like a cat's paw when it gets wet. he got used to it and then wanted to go everywhere, but I brought him back in cause he started nose-rubbing...ready to shed.

was fun with him outside though :)
