    need a name
OK im having a big problem naming my newest female. My big girl doesnt have a mean bone in her body, the only thing she does is thermo reg and very loudly hiss everytime i open the tub. It doesnt matter if im just doing basic maintaining, or trying to feed her. SHe hisses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Been calling her miss hissie right now but it doesnt suit her. Also in the evening she chases the cat. the cat will go to the tubs to have a sniff and she will go and tease the cat. one night this lovely wind bag actually popped the lid off and the cat was sleeping on the foot stool next to the shelf the tubs are on and she went nose to nose with the cat, like hello dinner.............lol

cat never knew who happened. I calmly picked this girl up and placed her in the tub and put a brick on top.......lol No kittie dinner for her.

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

SHe has alot of white along her sides, and some lovely blushing. She also loves when I go in with my mister and comes out to "let it rain". she also does a kinda dance when it is "raining".

i am at a lose here and would love your thoughts. I have looked at a few names websites and a few jump out at me but nothing really big.

Im wanting a wow name as she is my first breedable female and will have a clutch next year if her weight stays on track like it is.

    Hmmm here's some ideas....

Dianna or the celtic Diona - goddess of the hunt, things wild, fertility and birth - greek counterpart is Artemis - often depicted holding a torch aloft to indicate her "fiery" nature.

Heket - egyptian - birth goddess of all creatures

    http://www.crystalinks.com/fertilitygods.html

Cybele or Gaia, the earth mother basically - fertility, goddess of caverns and mountains and wild creatures.

Durga - warrior goddess of India

Here's a great site. This link is specifically to African goddesses so there's probably lots of ideas there if you want to go that way for naming ideas.

I must say that seems like one of the most entertaining snakes ever!

Josephine, Maybe? Josephine was an entertainer in the 20's(?)It has a delicate, yet masculine sound to it..

i dunno, that name just really stuck out to me when I read that..I have also never seen a snake named Josephine..

    I happen to like Temperance

wikipedia says "moderation of passion, sedateness, calmness, patience.

course Patience works just as well I suppose, but I like Temperance

I actually know someone with a BP named Josephine............sniff sniff i like that name.

Tempence is nice as well, but that reminds me of the lady boss in the tv show BONES.

Is there a girlie name for SPIT FIRE?

Beauty, I'm the wrong person to ask! LOL I'm trying to come up with three more names myself right now. I actually have a list I like, it's now deciding which ones to use on which snakes!

I actually have been spending a lot of time on http://www.babynames.com. There are so many names, it's almost overwhelming. I think I'm up the the "M"s now! LOL

    Oh thank you Robin!!!!!!!!!!

And of all the things i would ever name her this is it, it is also one of my favorite singers.

    ENYA (Female - Celtic/Gaelic)
    Little Fire

    I think it suits her.

    What do you all think?
