rims

Im thinking of buying some rims for my car! my Q is that some people told me that buying rims is bad for you car because it can damage the FRD and the suspencion, the original rims are the original 13 that a tercel have and the ones Im thinking to buy are 15, so can you guys tell me the cons of buying rims, BTW there form westernauto

You should spend money on snakes :). But rims are cool too.

there is nothing wrog with buying new rims...if you do the research...the most problems people have is they buy really heavy rims and don't upgrade there breakes. so if you buy rims that are made of the same material...you should be fine with the 2" increase.


by the way what kind are you looking at getting???

If you go up on a rim size, the only reason you'll damage anything is if you don't upgrade the rest. You need to realign your the front and rear, new heavier brakes, etc. Talk to a good mechanic and they can explain the rest to ya. Good luck.

If your going with larger rims and less rubber YES it will be harder on the suspension but you just need to take some care. I have had aftermarket rims on my car since the year I bought it (2002). I never upgraded the suspension and its not needed. I went from 16" to 17" and ya it makes the ride a little rougher but I've yet to have any damage done as a result.

cool!! well Im looking to a into a silver and black rim, since my car is red the black will pup aut, I have a pic of the rims but have a problem with the camara cell and it will not let me send it, well thx againd and I will keep you guys informed if I buy them or do anything to the car.
