    Let the Hole Burning Begin!
    Well.. kinda...

So, prior to this week, I only had two racks... 6 Shelf Sideways racks. They hold EITHER six 32qt tubs, or twelve 15qt tubs. I always had enough tubs to completely change everyone out and then clean the old tubs. Making the holes in those tubs wasn't that big of a deal...(in comparison to this job). I just made a small template, dotted the hole location with a sharpie, and burned the holes.

So I get these nine new racks.... all in their own cardboard box. Recycle doesn't come until Saturday (Won't be ready for them this week), so I get this bright idea. I'll eliminate the sharpie step, and make a cardboard template. Drill holes in the template, then burn them straight through the template.... Well... in case any of you thought I was smart... this totally explains that I'm anything but! The cardboard sticks to the tubs, and after burning one tub, I decided to ditch the cardboard template that took me about a half hour to make... and its back to the old way... dot, dot, dot, dot, etc.. burn, burn, burn, etc..

I've got 15 of the 32qt tubs marked... and 30 of the 15 qt tubs. Next on to the 41qt breeder tubs..... There's only 12 of those... so Won't be too bad... but the 6qt baby tubs are going to be a pain.... there's 60 of them!

I guess I'm just procrastinating actually "gettin my fumes on", and trying to get some sympathy.

I'm going to email Jeff @ Boaphile and tell him I'd pay a good $2-$5 a tub more if they came pre-melted! lol The only problem with that is for arid locations, you'd require less holes I guess..

Okay... I'm going now... I'm really gonna go start now.... No really... If I don't post in a few days... it's cause I'm in the hospital suffering from plastic fume disease.

Make a wooden template that the tub sits in, but is spaced out from 1/16th of an inch. No sticking and perfect holes :P

Edit: RIP good buddy :( Tub melting x 1231241245134 hurts

I'd be happy to pay shipping on such an item if you'd be willing to share. :)

    I need one for 6, 15, 32, 41 qt tubs.

    Thanks! :)

Hey Ken sure hope you are in a well ventilated area bud or we are all going to have to type slow and use the small words for you from now on LOL!

Have fun! Melting holes is about the least fun job I've found so far with the snakes. I'd really scoop snake poop for hours than face that job with new tubs.

You and Adam with your templates. Bah! I say no templates and uneven holes!!

Lets hope you don't burn em in a closed room with no ventilation like Adam. You don't want to end up..ya know...with diminished capacity... :)

Well, when we're done, Adam and I can post pictures of the front of our racks and not be embarrased about uneven holes! :)

Finished up with this morning's wave of 10 32qts... that should take care of the newest arrivals, and some backups for 2 or 3 of the other girlies.
