    Handeling scents?
Another question I had is I own a few rats as pets and I handle then quite often. Is there a way to rid of their scent before I handle my snakes to avoid getting bit? Or is it going to be one of those wash my hands/ arms change my shirt deals every time I deal with the snake crew?

You could try avoiding doing both on the same day. OR, you could make a point of handling your snakes first and then the rats, when you need to take care of both on the same day. Otherwise...yeah...wash up thoroughly and change your shirt to minimize the risk of a feeding error.

I had a ball python strike and constrict my shirt at my old work one time- I had been cleaning the rat bins a few hours before...of cource this happened while I was in the middle of explaining to a customer how they don't bite. Figures.

I'd probably wash my hands and put on a clean shirt...better safe than bitten.

Last week I was cleaning rat cages, washed up like usual but didn't think to change my shirt. Hubby got the 6 foot columbian boa out for some exercise time. Let's just say having a big snake suddenly become VERY interested in the nifty scents he can smell coming off me was a bit disconcerting LOL. Nothing happened though, we know Rauri's intent "hey is that rat I smell?" attitude so Mike moved him away while I went off to de-rat-smell myself.
