More snakes later on?

Well its been 2 days since ive had my newly aqquired snake and im loveing it but as with all herps I own .. I cant seem to control myself and have just one.im curious.... when is it ok to introduce a new ball to anoter one? Would it be better if I got another today so the one I already dosent get dominant or anything and I wont have to qurantine them? Or what...?

Also im positive I can care for and maintain them properly... ive had snakes in the past and I own a couple or more then a couple dozen reptiles in all.Not like im completely new to all this.

they dont need friendly company
think...
if one gets sick...
so does the other.
if one gets mites....
so does the other...
if one gets out do to a loose lid...
so might the other.

would it hurt or stress them if they were together though? I figure with proper care the above could be avoided no?

It could hurt them and stress them. One might go off of feed because the other one is dominant and it is stressed out. It might look like their snuggling but really it is them fighting for the best spot. Also one might get mad and bite the other one which could cause damage. Some people say they have kept multiple snakes together without any problem, but they are just lucky and arent smart enough to know when they are happy and when they are stressed. They just try to keep it as cheap as possible to have more than one "cute" animal.

Yeah...there are some animals that do fine with company, and even prefer it. But BP's are NOT one of those animals. They may survive in a shared cage...but if you truly care about your animals and want them to thrive, best to plan on separate enclosures.

Already ahead of ya, flexwatt and themostats are already in route. Thanks guys :) Ohh. also is i ever sex them and they are indeed male and female would shared enclosures be ok? just curious...

All of the above still applies. The only time BPs should cohabitate is for breeding purposes (and even then, not continuously...Adam has a really good write up on his breeding regime).
