I had responded to an add for 2 BP's in an animal shelter about a month ago by going down and looking at them. One was a monster girl, who was eating and shedding well, etc. The other one was this little tiny guy who had stuck shed all over him, not eating... they just got him in, and they were actually very knowledgable about them.
They wanted to keep one of them, so I told them that I would take the big girl, and they could work on rehabilitating the little one. I did not want to stress the poor guy out and move him again when he isnt eating etc. and besides, i truely believe that they could get him happy and feeding, and they would enjoy watching him grow.

I talked to the owner that monday, and she couldn't decide which one they wanted to keep. She would call me back with a decision. This was the beginning of april.

I didn't think i would hear from them again after a couple weeks, but they called yesterday saying they were ready to let the big girl go! They wanted to keep the little one and get it healthy. I think they made the right decision.

So here's Delphii... she is a sweety pants, and just not scared by anything! It's obvious that she was loved by her previous owner, who died of liver disease. She looks underweight to me, even though she weighs in at 1370g(the owner was feeding her one mouse every couple of weeks) and has some scarring. I think, however, she will do very nicely here. So without further adue... Delphii! ( i will try to get better pictures some other day)

Thank you for all your kind words everybody!

I never got to actually see the enclosure she was in, but JLC, your comment made me laugh b/c i was thinking to same thing when she was checking everything out. She looked so grateful to have a nice hide, and some water.

Now we have to see how feeding goes...

Congrats, she looks lovely and I'm sure with a little time in your tender loving care she'll blossom as so many of the rescues seem to do. Keep us updated on her progress please (and I love her name! so pretty!)
