    building a cage.
    I had plans earlyer to build my own 5 by 2 by 2 feet cage. But I talked to my boss which also lives next door and he said he would do it..... for FREE. Now hes been doing wood work his whole life and he said he would use cherry wood...? Will that harm the snake. And hes also going to use a water based paint on the inside.... is that ok?

    You know, cherry wood is beautiful. Why would you want to paint the inside? I would use a sealer on it of some sort. The wood grain would actually look really neat!

    Oh yeah, just have him use a nice water-tight sealant that way you and your snake can enjoy the wood while still making it easy for you to clean. Be sure to give the sealant plenty of time to air out any fumes...
