It's a COLT! pics galore.
I am the happiest person on earth; Sunday morning our mare Emma had her first colt. He is just completely awesome; he has a little more color than his mama but you can def. tell he's his mama's baby. I present to you, Domingo! :D
Pics!!
Here's the little bugger nursing.

You cant see the little guy in this pic, but it was Emma telling Cuesta "lay off MY baby!" Cuesta listened; she's smart and she knows her baby is due soon anyway.

-Dies.- I miss having horses. Your little colt there is absolutely handsome.

AAWWWWWWWWW!!!!!! He's darling! Man, whoever said foals are all legs was right!
Looks like Emma is doing great - I assume the birth went okay, no complications?
Feel free to post as many pictures as you want - we loves them, my precious!

Thanks!! I am overjoyed. Actually, Mark went out sun. morning to give them their grain, and this baby was just lying in the stall; I told him the Baby horse Fairy must have stopped by :) It had to have been a tough delivery though; if you look at the size of this guy's shoulders. We both slept through the whole thing; we had bought video cams to setup in preparation for her foaling, but we hadn't even set them up yet!!
Here are thee first pics of him, from Emma's stall. More tear jerking is sure to come; would you believe, my big strong man Marky was crying like a baby when he saw this!

I am soa ashamed of that dirty stall; but much of it in the back is afterbirth. I swear that stall was clean enuff to eat off the floor Saturday night.

His ears crack me up!
And don't sweat the floor...the cleaner you make it, the faster the animal will get it dirty!

That's so cool!! Did you have to help at all? DO baby horses always have the curled ears? Makes him look so playful and FAST!
