    Some unusual plants from East TN.
    Went back to my grandparents today to get some herping in and to take pics of some of the unusual plants we found while in the woods.

    First these are Trillium. We found a red one the other day that is more unusual than the yellows.

    These are called Voilet Wood Sorrel, they may look like clovers but they are not related.

    This is a Spoted Wintergreen and endangered species of plant from this area, its cool though that we found around 10 seperate plants through the woods.

    These are cool, I love the heart shaped leaves, we think these are Ginger.

    and these are called Jack in the pulpit or Indian Turnip a VERY unusual plant from this area.

    Cool stuff.. we have several jack in the pulpit in our yard.. they've been there for years.

    where in East TN? I have family in a little town called Athens, about an hour east of Knoxville.

    These were found in South Knoxville. I know where Athens is, ive had several games over there.

    wow, no one has heard of Athens... unless its Athens, GA or Athens, Greece... thats cool! I'm asuming you had soccer games there?

    yeah its not really that far from here, yep ive had several soccer games there.
