okay i've decided i have to have a snake cam. i'll attach it to their heads and so i can watch what they are doing in their enclosures... that way, when i can't hold them, i can still see what's going on.

maybe it shouldn't be attached to their heads... instead i could attach a bunch of them, to the inside of the hides and to the side of the enclosure so i can see where they are and what they are doing all the time...

    :gj: ooooh yaaaaa

    need a snake cam.

    need one right now

    at this moment

    can't wait any longer

not seeing drake (hog island boa) is killllllllllllllllling me.

and with a snake cam i could be watching my poor little bloodred corn and making sure he's okay (he had a regurge and hasn't taken food since)... and that way i would know what's going on with him.

oh man i need one right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am actually installing 3 of these soon, 1 in my snake room, 1 in another snake room, and 1 in my rat room, for monitoring temps/racks while I am away from the house. I work a fair distance from the house so Im not always aware of power outages, and when I am out of town it will be nice to check in on them and make sure there are no fluxuations.

There's also devices you can buy Bryan that will phone you if a power outtage occurs. Some are very expensive but look around (good old google) and I'm sure you can find some that are reasonably priced. Years ago I worked at a fish hatchery and we had a pretty basic one but if our power went out it phoned 3 people immediately. Sure saved a lot of little baby fish lives more than once.
