    sexing a BP
ok I am a little confused here...

the guy I bought the snake from said he was male. when the vet sexed him, she said that Nag was female. something about the depth of the probe?

I'm really confused...if the probe goes in pretty far (about an inch or more), is that a male or female? (I was to understand that if the probe goes in a ways that the snake was female, and that if it only goes in a little bit, then its a male)

I'm not sure I trust the guy i bought Nag from OR the vet. maybe someone can help me clear things up. maybe I should find another vet?

dunno, but I would apreciate any info. I searched the archives and didnt find what I was looking for.

It's the other way around. Males probe deeper than the Marianas Trench, *giggle*, and females only probe about 2-4 subcaudal scales(sorry, no cute pun there...). If the snake probed pretty deep, then it is more than likely a male.
