    New Mexican Black King hatchling
Normally I’m on the BP part of this forum, I have 2.2 BP’s from 335-1000g, I decided to try a different species so I got a Mexican Black King Hatchling, compaired to my BP’s it looks like a little black worm (I still think shes beautiful) Question I have is does this species need time to acclimate to there new enclosure? It’s normally 1 week or so for my others and then I make a feeding attempt, do these times also apply to this species? Also I am getting conflicting temp requirements for proper housing, can someone please tell me the correct temp.

I will post pic's on my little girl once I can get her to settle down, right now she is so fast that I considering giving her a speeding ticket.

Give her a week to settle in just like any other snake. Temperatures should be around 85 basking spot and 75 ambient. They like it a bit cooler than most colubrids even.

Congrats on the new baby and I'd love to see pics as well once the little one is settled in. We have a young nelson's milksnake so my only advice is watch the housing. Make sure that baby is locked down tighter than Fort Knox, baby colubrids are the very devil for escaping from the tiniest bit of give on the viv lid.
