Petland - More animals treated badly
I stopped in Petland today to get cat food. I wasn't surprised to see the reptiles kept in poor conditions but it always upsets me. In addition to improper temps and lack of water in most cages, there was something even more disturbing. They keep RTBs and Balls in the same tanks. I have seen it before but what was even more shocking was Leopard Geckos housed in the same tank as Corn Snakes. Even more reason to support the good breeders out there and stop purchasing animals from pet store chains.

Sad to hear about yet another bad one of these.
Sounds like you and I have similiar Petland's by us.
I was in the one by me this morning to pick up an overpriced cobra heat mat and looked at the reptiles.
There was one cage with baby savannahs, crested geckos, and day geckos all being housed together (sand as the substrate).
BP's, burms, and RTB's being housed together is the norm at this store. Thankfully this time there were no burms. Just 2 BP's and a RTB housed in one cage.
All of the cages are 10 gallon tanks with the clip on screen tops no matter what size the animal is.
It amazes me when people let reptiles get in bad shape but it doesn't surprise me since they get most, if not all, of the care instructions from places like these.
