    How long should I wait
Squeezer update..... A month ago you all got us through a horrible shed and first feeding in a few months. Yesterday we had a second successful feeding. Last week we tried to feed and he struck a couple of times and missed - then wasn't interested. Cage temp is good, he seems happy. Question...
When he (have no idea he/she) came to live with us 14 months ago he ate regularly (once a week) for about 4 months. Then the next 8-10 months he eats maybe an average of once a month. He is eating small white fuzzy mice. Used to would eat two - then one week offered a small adult and he ate - .. come to think of it - that is when the problems started. Next offer of small adult - no deal and next couple of times - no deal. So, I went back to the fuzzies and now working into a good routine... But, should I wait a whole week to feed him again or, should I go ahead and try again? And, when should I try to go to bigger mouse? Tempermental little guy but he is so sweet.

Ppl will all tell you, CONSISTANCY and ROUTINE. Do it once a week, the same way every time. That will help. The changes in routine can put a snake off its feed.

Cage/tub too big? U said temps are good, but is there the gradient from hot to cool? Hides?

What I've picked up from here that as ambush hunters, some BPs like to snag the prey from out of their hides, while others have to have total privacy.

Since they're nocturnal, have you tried feeding on HIS schedule of nighttime instead of midday when it's your schedule?

Hope this helps with some ideas.

    Good luck!

Just a comment that I wanted to put up for you to read. I bought my Albino male from a friend of mine who bred him. My Albino's father is an Albino. The Albino father is six years old and has been breeding for four seasons. He is a strong breeder and weighs about 900 grams. This Albino only eats about four meals a year, and has been that way years, yet he still manages to look healthy a breed every year. He does however feed on small rats. Some snakes will only eat when they want too.

Keep him healthy looking and offer food once a week, and he will eat when he is ready.
