Distinction between poo and vomit~~:>(

Sorry for the gross topic, but how do I tell? I want to know if my snake has been keeping down her food. Appreciate it!

you'll have to post a pic ( i know that sounds even grosser) because that would be the only way for anyone to tell.

.....first.....the smell.....you will not be able to mistake a regurg...it will make you want to hurl...

Snake poo.....well....it looks like poo.

Plus with a regurg, it should still basically look like it did when went in. Add lots of slime and think nasty.

With poo, it's well ... what Daniel said. You can mush it up and it should be pretty consistant. Have fun with that part. ;)

Sometimes poo will still have fur, but it still looks like poo.

Poo will be crumbly and brittle in your fingers ... or slimy like tar.

Vomit will be a large mass that feels like a rodent (arms, legs, head, bones, etc) when you squish it around in your fingers.

Pick it up, play with it, you'll be able to feel the difference.

Well, it seems to match both of those descriptions. If I had a digital camera I would post a pic. There were various clumps, all of which were brown, but there was a tiny bit of white. When I picked it up it was brittle, made me want to hurl (but I don't see how poo wouldn't make me want to do that) and was definately very digested. One clump was very large (about an inch and a half by an inch), but I don't know if that is because she puked it up all at once or left her droppings in a large pile. I gave her 48 hours after her last feeding (saturday) to digest before handling her (yesterday), and I've been keeping the temperatures high. Just saw the mass when I got home from school today. Unless you have any suggestions I suppose I will just wait until the next feeding day and if the same thing happens I will try to get a pic and post it.

Sounds like dookie ... a regurg would feel like a giant wet slimey dead slug.
