Corn Snake And Duct Tape Dont Mix.......
Yesterday I went in to check my daughters new corns like i do everyday and discovered the baby snow completely taped up in duct tape......poor bugger.

She had gone roaming nad became insnared in a piece I had put over the back to keep her from escaping. When I removed her from the tape ( took an hour of gentle shifting) she was ok but had torn part of her left eyecap and i thought she might go blind. I was wrong. took her to vet and all and they said nopt to worry. that it will resovle with her next shed. Heart attack over.....lol

I was just wondering if there was more I could do for her until then. She is eating like a champ so it isnt stressing her out. I was afraid the tape had done real damage to her, though if she had gotten out the cat would have done alot worse.

when we need to close up an area and can't find any other way to do it, we use cardboard and tape it to the enclosure so the tape isn't 'open' for the critter to get stuck too.

    just a suggestion...

Poor thing. Duct tape is never good. It's waaayyy too sticky. Try calking or hot glueing a piece of plexiglass as well.

Hopefully after a shed or two the damage will heal.
