is it ok to use fake plants to decorate the tank....(to give it a rainforest kinda feel)

yes it is, many say not to use real plants because BP's are pretty tough on live plants and will prolly ruin them in a short amount of time.

what do u mean by bp's are pretty tough on live plants? so where would be a good place to get fake plants at a cheap price?? i was thinking wal-mart but i don't know...

i got some of mine at a dollar store but my wal-mart has vines with leaves on them in the craft section...it was 4 dollars for 8 feet worth:)
