    Severus & Luke
Just spoke with Lynn to start the arrangements to finally bring Severus home after we get to Toledo, OH next week so hopefully by early May he and Luke will finally start their lifelong friendship. Luke is very excited! He's been handling the big BCI we are fostering so should have no troubles at all with the much smaller Sev. We are already planning Sev's new home and coming up with ideas for enrichment things like stuff to climb on, hides and so forth so watch for upcoming pics of that.

Here's a couple of pics that Lynn has provided of Severus. We think he's just a lovely young BCI. I'm not quite sure of his age (I keep forgetting to ask Lynn) but he was just a baby when she got him back in November 2005. He does have a tail kink and a slight maladjustment of his jaws but nothing that will affect his quality of life or his ability to be a lovely pet BCI.

Luke will join BPNet as his sister Beth has done so look for that in the future as well.

He looks great Jo! I am sure Luke is psyched about his new boy. Lynn has done such an amazing job with him.

I can't wait to see more pictures of him - his markings look really clean. =)

So that does mean that Rauri's going to be making the big trek home to Texas soon as well?

    Jo,

I'd say he's around six to seven months old. He was pretty tiny when I got him last year (The breeder didn't know how old he was, either), so this is just an assumption on my part.

Interesting story with Sev: the breeder didn't know his age because he'd picked him up from a kid who had tried breeding his two boas. The guy told me only three babies made it (not sure of the circumstances around that), and all had slight deformations. He put them out at the show, hoping to get them good homes.

Thanks for the compliments guys! Sev is, indeed, very clean (both of the pictures are from his dark phase--- he can also become extremely light). He would make a good breeder---I don't think the kinks would affect that---but he'll also make a wonderful pet. His disposition is perfect.

Thanks Luke and Jo for giving this guy a good home!

We are just stoked about Sev coming hopefully next month. Since we are close enough to Lynn we'll just meet her at the Columbus show or something rather than ship the lil fella.

Yep Rauri will be heading to Texas likely within the month. I know Becky is dying to finally get him home, he's in perfect health now and even though we'll miss him dreadfully it's time he finally left Camp Hiss ~N~ Slither for his real home. Becky promised me I'll always have news and pics of him and he's been a totally wonderful introduction to the world of larger snakes and BCI's in particular.

He's just beautiful! I love BCI's with such clean patterns. I'm seriously working hard to hold my envy in check! ;)

He is so lovely! He's probalby the reason that I got interested in learning more about the boas (although I'll probably only own ball pythons).

I can't wait to hear about his adventures at your home!
