Moving
We're finally getting the move to Toledo accomplished. We'll be moving April 13th and 14th so please excuse me if I'm not around as much over the next week or so (though this may be the only place that keeps me sane!)
Can't wait! Civilization here we come! A world where hi-speed internet exists, our beloved Detroit Red Wings are only an hour away, trips to the zoo that don't involve 9 hour round trip driving with kids in the car, snake shows, actual OMG malls, digital cable, and best of all...food delivered right to our door! Imagine that! *feels faint with the excitement of picking up a phone and having someone actually bring chinese food to my home*

Yayyyy! Great to hear the good news! Beware though, once you have access to high speed internet, there is simply no going back! :carrot: :pinkele:

Yup....whenever the military moves us someplace else, one of the top requirements on the house-hunting checklist is high-speed. We won't even look at any that don't have access.

In a few years I'll be doing that too...Justin(boyfriend) is going into the military and so I'll have to handle that. Military likes snakes, right? ^_^

So far as I know, there aren't any restrictions on owning snakes while living in military quarters....but I'm only speaking from AF experience, and I didn't actually own any during the years we would live on base. But "pets in glass tanks" aren't usually a problem.
That being said...if you're going to be a military family, you will, out of necessity, need to keep your collection relatively small. Imagine trying to pack up and move 10 or 20 reptiles (some of them very sensitive to environment changes) every couple of years? Sometimes with very short notice. And imagine never knowing what sort of house/apt you may live in next time, so you may not have an extra room...or even any extra space...for lots and lots of critters.
Just a little FYI from an experienced military spouse. ;)
