Should you have Check Ups?
I have a juvinile ball python she is almost 2 feet:snake2: . She is in great condition and VERY loved :wuv: ... but I have to ask. Should you have "check ups" for your BP? Like once a year or something take her to a herp just to get a check up even if there is nothing visibly wrong?

If your a new keeper (less than a couple years), I think absolutely! ... Even vets that don't have a ton of experience with reptiles are schooled in the basics as far as identifying possible problems early.
The other benefit is that you'll establish a relationship with a vet or vet office in case something serious does come up. There's nothing worse than needing help in an emergency and not knowing where to go or who to trust.

You can't go wrong with a vet check up. Peace of mind is a good thing.
:)
Re: Should you have Check Ups?
Especially seeing as these animals are not only pets, but they're part of the family. As soon as I get my next paycheck I'm taking both kids to the vet.
Re: Should you have Check Ups?
Most defiantly, it's like getting a yearly check up for yourself.
Re: Should you have Check Ups?
I took my "girl" to the vet a week after we got "her" so I could get an initial weight/check up. yeah...found out we had a healthy 190 gram boy instead of a girl.
vet check = goodness:giggle:
