    hello everyone me and the family went to the detroit zoo today and we got a ittle upset when we saw this pretty timor python with a bad RI. the RI was so bad that yellowish green fluids wer comeing out of it's mouth and all over the sides of it's jaw very heart breaking.

    That's both sad, and just plain dumb! :mad: You'd think a zoo, esp. one that size would have a good a) herp vet, and b) herpetologist to take care of things like that.

    If the snake is that bad, w/fluids coming out of its mouth, it probably won't make it, will it?

    How pathetic!

    I'd certainly register a complaint with the Zoo Director, Eugene. Even if that snake is being treated for the RI, it shouldn't be out on display like that! Every major zoo as far as I am aware has facilities to remove animals from active display if they are ill, breeding, etc.


    I would have been upset too!

    i did let the person in the retile house know and she said she'll pass it on i also email the zoo and let them know of it.so we'll see i'll go back in a week or two
