Sid and Nancy are for sale!!!
So there have been a ton of pics of the sweeties but do to space issues, and the fact that they were more of a rescue from a rank pet shop then a permanent resident of my room( Which is much to small:oops: ) so they are up and ready for new homes. Check them out!! On the classified page for prices and all that jazz.:sweeet:

I understand asking for an adoption fee for rescues but $100? Did you spend an extraordinary amount of money rehabbing them?

Ox, I can buy Iggys all day long for $20. Adults are being thrown at people for free every where. I am not saying I want them. You might charge a small placement fee. I wouldn't ask no more than $50 for an Iggy. Even then a lot of people would see that as steep. They are going to look at what they can get Iggys for and realize you are asking way too much. Pet rescues usually charge a small adoption fee. You will never sell those for that much money. I know you already put some time and money into them, but no one is really going to look at that.

i don't mean to be rude but didn't you just get these less than a week ago? i wouldn't consider a week rehab or even acclimating them! i could be way off base, but that has a used car salesman vibe to me.:confuzd:

I agree that a week isnt alot of time, but the conditions that they were in were rediculous. I paid 50 a pop for each plus the amounts of money for buying their temprary cage and food costs. I looked through other ads before pricing them and people were selling adult males for up to 250 bucks. I wasnt trying to give off the "used car salesmen" vibe but I have invested alot of effort into getting these guys set up nicely. I figured that they wouldnt sell for a while and they are welcome here until I can find them a good home. Im not willing to go cheap and sell them to someone who may not take care of them. This may be being stereotypical but usually if someone is willing to pay a bit more (like I did) they are willing to give the proper care to the animal. Just my opinion.

I think you should get them a bit healthier before you try to sell them for what you picked them up for... a week isn't much in terms of rehab. If someone wanted to invest a lot in to an Ig why wouldn't they just buy a well started baby for $20 like you can find them everywhere and buy all of the right equip from the start.

I do hope you find a home for them...I see this more as you didn't know what you got yourself in to... Honestly it was great that you "rescued" them but I know that the pet store is just going to get more because they think they can sell them regardless of condition.

    Good luck re-homing them.
