    Fedex box requirements
I'm getting ready to make my test package, and just wondering if someone knows the requirements regarding crush rating? I'm not trying to skimp, I just really have no idea whats good.

    Kay, thanks guys

I haven't ever heard of anyone failing because their box wasn't tough enough. I just used a normal cardboard box lined with styrofoam insulation.

You could always call the Package Testing Dept.(800 633 7019 option 5). I can tell you the tests that my box was subjected to (it list them on the report you receive after it is tested).

My tests included a drop, a compression/deflection test, and vibration. My box was loaded to ~420 lbs, deflected .21 inches, was dropped from 30 inches, and was vibrated for 45 minutes randomly.
