    electrolyte supplement?
    The guy that I bought my snake from said I need a electrolyte supplement to put in the water....and it makes the water slimy. Do I really need it?

    You do not need any supplements.

    Nope. I have never heard of anyone using such a thing.. sounds like a great way to make you part with more money.

    they did that to me too when i first got vanessa. is it called reptisafe or something?

    i just use fresh water. you can even let a container of tap water sit overnight and let the chlorine disipate and use it the next day.

    It is called reptisafe and it adds electrolyte and removes the chemicals from tap water.
    You by no means need it. Most don't use it at all.

    I use it only cause I have been using since the day I got my bp and I just don't like to change if everything is ok. Never noticed it making the water slimey, tho.

    Use it , don't use it . I don't think it makes one difference.
