    so i just picked up a digital thermometer and i was just curious where should i put the probe in damen's tank? also if the humidity gets to low can i use a spray bottle to bring it up?

    I like to put the probe under the hide on the warm side of the tank...and set the digital unit in the corner of the cool side. Yes, you can spritz the inside of cage with a spray bottle to help raise humdity.

    why should i put the probe under the hide on the warm side for, shouldnt i keep it in the middle of the tank to read the ambient air? thanks alot for all the info

    I suppose it depends on where your snake spends most of its time. Mine stays in her hide 90% of the time, so that's where I want the most accurate temperature readings. If the temps under there are correct (low 90's), and the cool side readings are also correct (low 80's) then the ambient temps should be fine, unless you have a cavernous enclosure.
