miss feeding

My BP hasn't eaten in about 2 months. I feed f/t. When i try feeding him he just smells it then goes right past it. Should I be worried? Is it because it is a certain time of the year? THANX

It's possible it's the temps. It's also possible that your meals are a bit big, and he's catching up. A bit more info would be helpful. Tank or tub? You'll probably get him to eat soon, with the temps warming up a bit. Monitor his wait, and you don't have to worry until you see significant weight loss.

i have him in a 40 gallon tank with a screen cover. UTH and ceramic heat emiter. He has 2 hides and a water bowl.

It's probable that you'll see a better response soon. I have one girl that is just super sensitive to minor temp fluxes, and the outside weather. If there is a big storm or a cold front, she's way more likely to skip a week. I've been pretty fortunate though, since her longest fast was 5 weeks and that was moving her to a rack. Since then her longest fast has been a week or two, but she's been taking smaller meals in the winter. Only two adult mice.

Give it another couple weeks. Do you offer every week? Any changes to her environment? Maybe skip a week, and then resume offering. It's not much help, but you just gotta figure out what works for that snake. Also since she's been fasting try offering smaller meals. Good luck.

double check all your temps/humidity. cover the screen top. keep feeding it the same rodent type it was eating before. skipping a week or two is no big deal. how big is the snake? as said earlier maybe try a smaller rodent.
