    vinegar?
Has anyone used vinegar to disinfect/clean their BP's cage or hides? I know that we used to use it with our puppy's accidents but I don't know if vinegar is harmful to the snake. If anyone has any experience with this it would be helpful. thanks in advance!

Ive used it a lot in the past. Stinky, but if you rinse it real well, there will be no harm towards you snake.

Vinegar is disgusting. Why would you want to use it? There are plenty of other solutions that can be used from bleach (dilute 1 to 16, wash well after using and allow to dry) to Chlorhexidine (the best choice), Wipe Out (sold in pet stores and made by Zoo Med) or good old fashioned soap and water. Good luck!

I might be wrong on this, but I don't think so. Vinegar is really good at cleaning things...but it doesn't disinfect. It'll get dirt and scummy stuff and stinky stuff up really well, but does nothing for bacteria and other germies that may be lurking in the corners.

That's quite possible that it doesn't disinfect. I'll have to look that up.

From what I'm reading just doing some googling, it does disinfect. However, even though it is cheap, it smells horrible and to me there are much better options.
