Daniel fielded the shed question, so I'll take this one. No....that statement is not true. Snakes deficate at their own pace and from all I've seen and read, it rarely seems to correspond with a feeding schedule. Some go for a month or two without poopin' sometimes.

Just feed regularly and consistently and your snake will worry about the rest. ;)

Three of the last 4 poos from P Snake have ALL been in his hide...and the dink was still in there WITH IT! :bleh: Two wrapped up in his shed skin, too. *sigh*

Make a routine of feeding activities and time, be consistant and "the rest will come". ;)

Only two poo presents from Wrigley since we got him, and he's eaten regularly. They'll poo and shed when their bodies say they need too.

Ma-tsu is fond of tunneling in her substrate and pooping in said tunnels. Weee. The joys of hunting for snake poo.

LOL. I know what you mean. Fortunately, my little black milk gave me a "present" in her water bowl so it was a pretty easy clean.

You can try, but quite often they're not in the mood for eating. It's probably not worth it if you might have throw away the food item, but if you don't have to you can give it a try.
