Receptacle End? Whats this mean?
What is does receptacle end mean in relation to a thermostat such as ranco?

Electronics. A fitting connected to a power supply and equipped to receive a plug.
So in this instance I would assume it to mean the powerstrip where you plug your heaters into.

A rec end is just one plug, like the female end of a heavy duty extension cord.. The powerstrip is different when it comes to tstats:)

See, this is when I realize that I skim everthing I read! The first part of his post was correct but the second part where it said powestrip, I don't even recall seeing. Weird!

Instead of starting a new thread wish would you say is the best or use between a Ranco and a johnsons control?

I would personally go with the Johnson Controls. Both of the stats work in the same fashion and handle the same wmount of wattage. It is really a personal prefrence:)
