    Different names of mice?
    Just wondering what are all the different names with mice? LIke pinkies, fuzzies, hoppers, whats next?

    It varies a bit depending on who you ask.. but generally:

    pinky 1-3 days old
    chub - from around 4 days old until the hair grows in
    fuzzy - hair is just growing in
    crawler - slightly older than a fuzzy
    hopper - weaned
    small/medium/large mouse is just different sizes of adult mice.

    "Weaned" means it can eat on its own and no longer needs to nurse from the mother.

    Pinky, Fuzzy/Crawler, Hopper(when they start movin around on thier feet, they hop alot- a hopper is not weaned), Weanling and Small, Med. and Large. Is the general consensus.

    Mine don't seem to hop that much until they're weaned. They're lazy until they eat the real food.. then they're bouncing off the walls!
