Maidens in the fog... dialup wrng
Cuesta and Emma this morning; the fog made awesome photo conditions. If you ever want stunning pics of your pets/kids/anything, wait for a foggy morning..

Gorgeous pics Jen! Glad to see they are doing well. Have you rode the new one yet?

Mark rode her once since we got her; you could ride Cuesta with a piece of string, she is that well broke :) She was used at a kid's camp.
We are not really riding them now due to the mud/ice everywhere; and they are both preggo, which really shouldn't make much difference; but Cuesta is pretty cranky if you touch her sides. Mark rides Emma about once a week, but we are generally giving them some time off. Being Paints, their feet are soft already, and the added weight and relentless mud are not making things pretty; their feet are OK, but we are getting shoes put in in May. We don't want to ride them much til then :)

Thanks! They are a lot of work, especially this time of year when mud is on every available surface and they are still in their stalls every night; I can't wait til it dries out and they can live out 24-7 :) We also need to get a few more strands of wire rope for their fence, since the babies are on the way.

Oh Gin, lovely pictures...especially that 3rd one! Hope you are planning to take tons of the birth/new foals. When are the mares due to foal?

What pretty girls! I miss my horses...I had 2 old geldings growing up, Pete and Prince. Used to just hang out with them for hours, laying on their backs, reading books while they just stood around in the barn being fat and lazy, hehe. =)

Thanks! Emma is prob. not due til around august.. I am pretty perturbed about my friend letting her get preggo, esp. that late in the year, but I can't change that now :) Cuesta, I'd guess she'll go in June.
