    What are some good plants to put in with my BP. Can you use any nontoxic plants. or is there better ones that they perfer.

    You can put some decorative plastic ones in there if you like. They have no such preference for such items, as they are soley to please the owner and not the occupant ;)

    I like the idea of potentially in the future creating a "closet" vivarium for our bcc with some real plants, like a mini palm tree or something, but for now, both our girls are in 20L vivs with plastic/silk plants. Our bp Cleo especially like using both plants in her viv as "bathrooms", so it's really nice to be able to take them out and give them a good scrubbing in anti-bacterial soap and hot water.

    BPs are heavy bodied snakes and their slithering through live plants can crush or break off stems - then there's the worry of bugs and bacteria growing in the plant's soil. For us anyway, we're sticking with silk plants.

    That and I can't kill the silk ones. I am the master of plant genocide. =P

    The live plants wouldn't last a day in the cage. I tried it in my huge one and they all got crushed. Its a nice idea, but doesn't work.
