how can i keep snake food alive?
i have a mouse, and i need it to stay alive for the next couple days for feeding day, how can i keep it from dieing?
Re: how can i keep snake food alive?
Place it in a plastic Tupperware-style tub with air holes. Give it a small bowl of water and some dogfood, cereal, unsalted nuts, vegetables. You really don't need much for just a couple of days and they will eat a variety of food.

Bowl of water + mouse = ungodly mess. Get a water bottle.

I hear that CHEAP dog food has lots of red dyes that can harm your snake........I say "I hear" because i dont know if its true...I woudlnt doubt it tho

Same here, but Wal-mart has water bottles for $1.97, plus you can get your tupperware at the same time.

If you feed dog food, get one of the premium brands. I go for the ones that have 20% or less protein and that don't have corn in the first five ingredients. Nutro Lite is a good variety.

i bought a hopper yesterday morning, and i wanst home all day/night and when i got back he died.. so i had to get another mouse this morning. would it have been bad if I fed my BP that dead mouse?
Re: how can i keep snake food alive?
I wouldn't. You don't know how it died.. and if it was laying around dead all day it would have started to decompose.

yep i think thast what happened lol, when i thru it away i had to peel it off the bottom of the tupperware tub cause it was stuck
