Some pics of family & me on my Big Day
This past November, I did a 67 mile bike ride called El Tour de Tucson. The full El Tour is 109 miles, but I finished the 67 mile leg of the route, rather than try to ride the whole thing this time. When I'd started training four months earlier, I hadn't been on a bike in about 15 years and hadn't done anything seriously physical for a couple of years.

    So...here's me and my family:

Husband, Dean and the kids: Austin, Nathaniel & Petra

Taking a break and looking for that water!

Crossing the Finish Line after 7 hours on the bike!! (My Mom added the text and effects) I'm the one closest to the camera and the other lady is my coach/mentor Lynn who rode with me that day.

Right after the finish...SO TIRED and SOOO HAPPY!! I'm the one with the goofy visor and sunglasses still on, and that is Lynn behind me. My Mom and Austin are there, too.

And if anyone is interested in reading about the ride, I wrote a little story here... http://www.geocities.com/judylynnc/race.html

Anyhow.....thanks for letting me share! (BTW...I plan on riding the full 109 this coming November!!)

That's awesome!! Makes me miss having a bike. :) Course even if I still had one, I doubt I could pull off a ride that long! Conga-rats!!

P.S. Had to add this after reading your race story (and I'm not ashamed to admit I've got big old tears in my eyes)....wow Judy...just wow...what a wonderful experience, what a wonderful empowering experience! You've got a beautiful gift of words to share Judy, thanks for letting us see into your world this way.
