Afraid not.

We do have an integrated chatroom but it is not up persistently.

We are about due for another run at it.

i dont think you need so much work :)
irc.stormirc.net is a nice empty server. we just need someone who has couple of bots to get it running. i could get one of my friends to drop them there and add op control scripts.

Avoiding extra work was the reason for commiting to a user-database integrated solution - not to mention getting everything set up per-user can be a significant challenge to thos who've never utililized a chat client.

We did run an IRC channel in the past - the results were very mixed.

Also great info that can be exchanged in chat gets lost in terms of reference mateial - no way to archive or search that unless you want to pore through logs. Chief reason for keeping it as a scheduled service.

lol, if you say so :) i thought it would be great to go down the channel and shout "SHE ATE!!" :P ... i wouldn't think of it to be reference channel , just somewhere where everyone could relax. but yeah, it could be extra work. else i would've started it myself :) anyways. it was just a thought :)
