I really never see too much about this locality...I was once told it was because they are "mean", but then again that doesnt stop people from getting Biak GTPs or ATBs either....are mexicans that rare?

Nice! I thought I was the only one with a mexican boa! I will post pics of mine when I get home. Well you can kinda see mine in my avatar.

P.S. does anybody know how big they become when adults? Kinda hard to find any info on them.

Ditto! Glad to see someone else on here that has one! They are a very cool boa. I actually got to work with the parents when they were being bred. This was almost 2 years ago, the mom was 17 and the dad was 22! Mexicans (also known as Sonorans) are considered to be a dwarf species, but still under the BCI subgenus, I think thats the right terminology for classification. Anyways, the parents were around 6-7' feet long, with the female being much thicker than the male of course. The one I have came out of a litter of 12, not too bad for a smaller boa. Those were some of the MEANEST babies I've ever seen. You'd just change their waterbowl and they would hiss at you as soon as you opened their tub. Luckily, the girl I chose calmed down a lot over a couple of months and she's a puppy now.

Mine eats all the extra small rats I have left over from my bunch of picky bps. She ate 3 in a row one time! She's the "rat disposal unit."
