Post Pics of your Snake Room!
I know we had a thread like this before, but I thought it'd be fun; post some pics of your snake/herp room. In my case, this used to be a fully functioning dining room; but not when we moved in! Now the snakes have taken over and they are the only ones who dine in here :)

Here are our BP tanks. From left to right; La Vey's 55g; Bela's 20g long; and Gobby's reptarium abomination thingy with sliding doors :)

Here are the tanks themselves; I went to paper towel substrate recently.

Bela.. as you can see, she's had enough with people photoing her house..

My BCI, Apache's tank, is in the opening between dinette and kitchen. I hate it here because the lid is a BEAR to get on/off so we are building him a shelf :) His is a 40g long flat, much better than a high annoying 55g.

VERY nice looking homes for your babies! Mine are very boring. I don't have a current picture of Kashmire's enclosure (plus it's filled with newspaper at the moment until he decides to feed again). The girls are in 41 quart sterilites stacked three high in the bedroom on shelves of a computer desk.

Well, this isn't the entire room, but it shows where the snakes are located. The room also functions as a homeschool classroom/sauna. :) I built the rack on the left, but the right one came from Animal Plastics.

Xdeus, what brand name is that heater in the room? I think I've seen one similar but wouldn't mind knowing if you like yours and it's doing the job for you.

Nice tanks Gin! Nice room Xdeus!

My snakes have recently transferred into my bedroom... since I share an apartment with a roomy, gives us both a little more community space out in the living room (though that's where the cats, dog, rabbit, and geckos stay )

The racks pretty big and takes up a good portion of my room... but I love having my snakes handy, and they're so much easier to take care of in this system.

    Hi Jo,

The heater is a Delonghi oil filled radiator from Walmart. It was relatively cheap, I think around $30 or $40. I'm pretty happy with it as it does a nice job in keeping the room warm without drying it out as much as a regular space heater. It still dries it out a bit, though, which is why I have all of that blue masking tape covering the holes in many of my cages.

Oh thanks Lawrence! That is the exact one we were looking at just last week and wondering if it was worth picking up one or two for the future. Glad to hear it's doing it's job.

Hmmm so one of these AND a room humidifier perhaps.....more stuff for my To Do/Think About List LOL.
