    A little conserned
Ever since i put a hide on the cool side, i put it in last friday, he never seems to go to the warm side and always stays under the cool sides hide box. Is this something i should be worried about or is this perfectly normal.

    Thanks,
    Keith

It could be that he doesn't NEED the warm side all the time if he's not digesting a meal.

Or it could be that he feels a lot more secure in the hide that you put on the cool side. Is it different than the other one? If so, you might try putting an identical one on the warm side as well.

actually i jsut fed him today and the hide on the cool side is a little samller, fits him in it more secure so that may be it.

A quick test would be to just switch sides with the hides. Put the favored one on the warm side and see what he does....that should make it pretty clear if he's choosing the hide or the temperature.

Check your temps to make sure your hot side is not too hot, and you could try changing hides as suggested..but it could be your bp moves around more at night or early AM when you are not there to see.

hot side is at 90 and cool is like 85 so the temps are around what they should be

Give your snake a more diverse thermal gradient and it will thermo regulate more often. 5 degrees isn't much of a difference, so there's not much of a need to move around. ;)
