    4 weeks......thats crazy

The recomended amount of time for letting your new snake settle in is around a week or two, 4 weeks is way to long.

4 weeks isn't too long. I think it's great that you got several feedings in and put the snake's best interest first. Congrats. I think starting with 5-10 minute handling sessions, and then increasing that time slowly works great. :D

Yeah, 2-3 weeks sounds right. I would wait until your snake has had a good solid feeding and had about 48 hours to digest, before handling him. Although, if yours is anything like my BCI, he will be an eating machine!

Oh wow that is crazy...I give all my snakes 1 week then 1 meal then after a few handelings of short periods of time I treat them like the rest of the snakes

    Re: New BCI!!!
Two weeks/two feedings should be more than enough for a healthy BCI to settle in, you won't have any trouble at all. Just keep your temps right, give it 48-72hrs depending on the size of meal after eating to somewhat digest and you'll be fine.

    Good luck!
