    Something wrong with these pics?
Does anybody else notice a few things that look rather questionable in the photos on the thread found below??

I don't mean to criticize anybody's husbandry practices... but, well... just look for yourself.

Hey, I know that guy. I mean, I don't know-know him, but we used to converse a lot on another forum quite some time ago. While I wouldn't hold him up as an example of how to house your snakes, he DOES love them dearly and takes very good care of them.

There's definitely some issues going on there. Gorgeous snakes though.

I love how he refers to them "They spend most of their time living in fear. Being simple animals, they react with defense." Wonder how his ball python feels with a 9' anaconda laying on top of him...

He's probably just one of those old guys that say "well I've had reptiles since the 70s and this is what I've always done etc etc" and completely disregarding all the science and collective experience out there. These are the individuals who have helped to give all herpetoculturists a bad name. Just wait, one day, his whole world will come down on him when those animals reach their breaking points.

There is something VERY wrong with those pictures. I hope he finds out what he is doing wrong or he will one day find some of his snakes or cats missing.

Although there is a picture of the BP and the Boa and the anaconda together, do we know for certain that he houses them together? If he has them out together playing with them maybe that is where the pic came from.
I take more than one of my BPs out at once occasionally, and they do play(spar?) and wind around each other, but they always go back into their individual containers.
Just wondering bc after reading the thread it didn't actually say that he housed them together. The first picture looked like a lovely set up to me, with a large clean water pan. If the only issue is him keeping them together, well I'd have to say I would rather see that than non-heated filthy cramped cages out of wire. Might not be perfect, but the snakes look healthy.
Me personally I would never let a small child sit with a snake that large on them, I would consider that to be hideous practice for an experianced keeper, but that is only MY opinion. I let kids pet mine, but rarely ever hold them and NEVER hold them by themselves.(My larger BPs, some kids do get to hold my smaller ones if I know the kid and trust them)
