New Cage

I've had my cresties for about 2 months now and I want to put them in a new cage. I'm gonna go full blown with this. I was thinking of making the cage 36"x18"x24". Would this be too big for 3 4-6 month old cresties. Also is it bad for them to have constant high humidity.

that size cage is pretty big for juvie cresteds but fine for adults. i house adult pairs and trios in cages that are 23"x16"x16". i don't move them up to that size cage until they are at least 7-8 months old and in the 15-20 gram range.

how high is your humidity? constant 60-65% or so is good...

I measured and weighed my biggest one. It was 6" long and 9 grams. So its about 6 months old. The littlest one is about 4 months old and Im guessing 5 grams. Would a 30"x16"x20" be good for them. Also is the one you measured the same one in all the pics. My little crestie looks very similar.

Would the original size work for 5 juvies. I emailed the breeder I got them from the first time and he said hes got 2 left. If I got the other 2 what kinda quarentene measures should I do. I was thinking 1 month in my room but the others would be right next door. Maybe upstairs would work.

imo, they are still pretty small. i consider under 20 grams small. i set mine up in large critter keepers. it's important for the little ones to find their food easy and alot of times it's harder in a big cage. i always keep mine singly or pairs at the most. i think when you put several in one setup you may run into stress/aggression some tail losses.

I have my 3 in a 20g long set on its side, Its pretty easy for them to find food. All they have to do is come down and the food dish is right there. I may get the 2 and put them in a 10g I have. Also for the large cage. I can still make it 48"x18"x20" but split it in half and have 2 different groups. How do cresties do in bachelor groups.
