    mmm mmm good !
Hey guys i have some good news and some bad news ... Well this is the second feeding under my care with quite a hefty mouse. The bad news is that lately i dont know what got into her I tried touching handling her 3 days back and she was acting really weird, i thought id give her some alone time and today i tried picking her up to move her into another tub to feed her and she hissed at me 2ce so i decided not to irritate her and just throw the mouse into her enclosure. I dont know what to do, im going to try to check the temps again and see if maybe thats whats causing the problem. Here are some pictures ...

Time to get some kahoonas...just handle her dont be scared of a bite..if she bites it wont hurt

She should calm down again but keep in mind she may not..some snakes never get used to handling like others

They are all different Dennis and some do take to handling better than others or just take longer to not stress over it. Sometimes it's just a bad day and they are in the "hiss off" mood or it may be related to their level of hunger, or just some unknown stressor or they are just a snake and hey snakes bite sometimes LOL. Our little male is just fine any day BUT feeding day. Then he will strike at me or anything that is warm and moving but I consider that a great thing and his feeding response is second to none.

If it helps put on some gloves for a bit till either you figure out what is triggering the behaviour or the snake isn't doing it. Being bitten isn't a huge deal but if gloves make you feel more relaxed that helps as I swear snakes pick up very quickly if a person is not relaxed and it makes them even more agitated.

It's good to not push a snake too fast, too far or past their limits but don't let Eve get into the habit of thinking she can drive you away with her antics. Just be firm and deal with her gently but firmly respecting the limititations that all snakes naturally have for handling.
