    Update on Corn with Tumor
Thank you to everyone who was keeping various parts of their anatomies crossed for her - unfortunately we had to have Miss Snakey euthanized yesterday.

We went to the vet to talk to him about the results of the biopsy and decided that he should re-open the wound and see if anything could be done regarding removal of the tumor. Well after cleaning around he examined the tumor and there wouldn't have been enough healthy tissue to cut away afterwards plus the tumor was a malignant bonal tumor (I think that's what he called it) and attached to the spinal cord. We decided it would be best for her if she was euthanized whilst still under the anaesthetic.

Unfortunately I forgot to ask if her original untended bite wound/tick wound (whichever if at all) could have caused this tumor - or maybe if the tumor would have caused all that mess on its own. It doesn't really matter now, but I'd just like to know and shall ask him later today when he gets in.

I really miss her although she was only with us such a short time.

Sue, I'm so very sorry to read this but know you made the right decision for this poor little snake. At least during the last stage of her life she finally had a caring owner and good vet care that provided her a painless passing.

    Our thoughts are with you.

I'm so sorry Sue. :tears: I know what a difficult decision that was, but as Jo said I think it was the right thing to do. She may not have had any easy life, but at least you gave her some time and did everything you could.

I'm so sorry... that's never an easy thing to do, even when it's the right and humane thing... :(

Thanks for all your condolences, guys - I haven't been around these past 4 days as we went on a little mini-vacation - I'd intended posting before I left but time ran out :/

Like you say, I feel I've done as much as I could for her - but sadly it just wasn't enough :(
