just go out and get a rubbermaid tub, for like 7 dollars drill a few air holes along the side and ur set till the summer. I doubt you have enough room in a 10 G tank for a 20" snake 2 hides and a water bowl.

true, right now i only have room for one hide.

i have a rubbermaid container that is bigger than her cage that i use to feed her in. i might just put her in that!

10 gallon till this summer and then the custom (I'm assuming MUCH larger) set up.
A 20 incher should be fine in a 10 gallon for a couple more monthes, I put my bp in a 30gl sometime around 20 inches and he eventually became less and less active, could be the season? could be insecureness from all that room!

    the rubbermaid i have is 19"L x 13"w x 8"t

is that pretty good or is it too big.
also should i start feeding her in her cage instead of taking her out?

A 10 gallon is 20x10x12.. so basically the same thing, alittle bigger but it will also be easier to heat

what is the best way to heat it? i have a heat lamp right now. should i invest in a UTH or some flexwatt. i really dont have the money for a thermostat right now so i need a UTH that will only raise the temp about 10-15 degrees and stay there consistently.

That doesent exist:) Any UTH no matter what the label says will go well beyond the recommended temps of the animal.. A light bulb isint the best for snakes that require a decent amount of humidity unless the proper steps are taken everyday to raise the humidity. A UTH is really the better way to go. If you dont have the money for a good thermostat right now you could use something like a dimmer or even a zoomed thermostat.. Either way the ball will have a nice worm spot to use...
