    Koby's Escape
    I was given a year old Ball Python about 2 weeks ago on a Saturday and he escaped his aquarium the next day. If anyone has any information as to where they would normally hide that would be beneficial to me locating him, please help.
    Thanks

    Look for someplace fairly close to the cage like an adjacent room. Dark warm and tight are on the money for places they like. At one point we had one get out - get up a whole flight of stairs and tpast three rooms before settling for one of the shoeboxes my wife had in our closet. A seperate event yeilded one not 10' from the enclosure wedged under a bar counter.

    You most likely won't run across him just hanging out - especially not during the day.

    first check all the obvious places, like spall enclosed warm spots, water heater, behind dryer etc.
    then set up a box/hide spot, even his tank one, in the corner of a room that you believe he'd be in or passing through,put heat with that spot, heating pad would be best, then take a dead mouse (whatever you feed it) and rub the rodent ALL along the base boards (at night) of that room leading to his "trap", then leave rodent there and if you lucky the snake will pick up the scent and or the heat and post up for a morning capture!!!

    let us know. . .
