odds female or male

when people purchase a Ball Python or any snake at a local per store, are they more likely to get a male? just curous because i have yet to get my BP probed, and i have been giving it some thought that maybe its time to find out what phantom really is.

Most likely to get a male. Especially if you buy from a chain store like Petco. They generally sell CH imports which usually go through several people first....any good females are picked out and sold for a higher price.

I agree with Daniel, but in my case I bought my first snake from Petco and adopted a second which I'm positive was purchased there too and both are females. So...... it's a crap shoot. :D

I bought my BP from a local petstore that admitted they didnt' have a clue as to sex.. im hoping for a female too..
