    Bad News, possible RI
Today when I was doing my regular handling of Mufasa I noticedhe was making a noise. As I listened harder he would exhale nearly whistling about every 15 seconds or so. Also when I held his head right near my ear I could hear that little clicking noise. This is the first day I heard it. In fear of RI I read about it for an hour. These are the syptoms. But I opened his mouth carefully and notced no extra liquids, and his nostrils are visibly clear. I read that If I caught the symtpoms early I can usually cure at home. This is was my fault, I had the humidity too low and was building a humidifier tommorow. Well I gave him an extra thorough misting tonight, added a humidity chamber, and tomorrow I will get the humidity in the room back to where it should be. Lets all hope he clears up soon. Thanks

if you really think your snake might have ri, i'd get to a vet asap. the "home remedy" thing isn't going to cure ri.

honestly im not sure that the clicking noise always means an RI. I have had my ball for over a year now. Every now and then i hear the clicking noise when he beathes out when i am holding him, but i pick him up the next day and its gone. I hve never seen anything else that would indicate an RI and he has never stopped feeding since i have had him.

do you guys think im an idiot for not getting this checked out. He has never had any wet nostrals or anything

FWIW - Ball pythons never get wet nostrils when they have respiratory infections. They don't have the ability to expel fluid through their nostrils.

Well I know he is very close to shedding. His belly started turning pink. He will probably have the blue eyes tonight. Thanks for letting me remember the shedding thing

Ok, well she has been under my watch for about over year now, sometimes i pick her up and hear it, and then other times i have her i hear absolutly nothing. so i never could figure out if i t was an RI or not because i could hear the littli "pop" in her nose sometimes and other times it would be as if she never had any problems in her life. so its tough.
